A super vintage handmade dish or bowl, by Dennis Edward Lucas, from Hastings Pottery, Sussex. He worked at the pottery from 1956 to 1995, but this is likely to be 1960s or 1970s era. It has the distinctive incised double fish logo to the reverse for Hastings Pottery, which was used from 1963 to 1995. Deep red smooth clay base, with glossy glazes to the uppers.
Rounded triangular dish or shallow bowl. Predominantly muted blue/green tones - the background glaze is white. The decor is duck egg blue tones with black iron oxide stripes and pulled ridged lines. The under side is glazed white. Handmade and unique.
Very good condition. 17cm x 17cm x 3.5cm deep. Perfect for display and for a collection. Also ideal for serving nibbles if used.
