A vintage cross-shaped pendant on a 23" chunky cable chain. The unusual pendant is handmade from silver, in a Brutalist and modernist style. It is stamped to the reverse with what looks to read '812 B' within a hexagon shape - I've not been able to identify this maker/country of origin. The 812 may be the grade of silver, with B the year. Circa late 1960s to 1970s as typical of that era.
It is a linear crucifix shape, with each arm made from three random raised polished lines, with darker silver below. The pendant is a a small to medium sized 35 x 23mm (excluding the large bail at the top). The chain is a chunky silver cable chain with large links and is 23" long; I can't see a hallmark but would assume from the weight and colour that it too is silver. The pendant sits just above the heart. The chain has a snap ring clasp, though it's long enough to slip on. Altogether it weighs 15 grams - both pieces of silver feel very good quality.
Very good vintage condition. It looks great on and is typically 1970s, a statement!
