A classic bit of late 1980s design from Habitat - the Scraffito/Sgraffito range... 
We have a lovely tea or coffee set here - a pair of good-sized cups and saucers, a large teapot, milk jug and lidded sugar bowl. The glazes on these are matte black, and the inners have a gloss white inner. The graphite black glaze has a distinctive pattern - child like scribbles drawn/scratched through the glaze to the white below in a sgraffito style. Unsure of the designer, but they're made in Japan for Terence Conran's store, circa 1980s-1990s vintage.
Classic sturdy design, quality feel with simple cylinder forms. Black glaze over white stoneware/earthenware.
Each cup is 8.5cm wide x 7cm high. Saucers are 16.5cm wide - the larger sized cup and saucer. Teapot is 19cm tallest with lid, the body is 16 x 12.5cm. The large capacity teapot holds 2.5 pints. The lidded sugar bowl is 8cm tall x 8.5cm wide (excluding lid), and the tall milk or cream jug is 12cm tall x 7.5cm wide.
Excellent condition with no obvious signs of use with no cutlery marks. There may the odd scuff to the matt black, a feint line is shown on the teapot body - this may be an area of lighter glaze. All very clean and useable.
