A beautiful Gozo Glass art glass vase. The studio was created in the late 1980s by Michael Harris (Mdina, Isle of Wight Glass) with local Rupert Brooke and Leonard Mulligan (Phoenician Glass). But Michael was 'retired' and in ill-health so took a step back.
This piece is from their Springtime Collection and is circa 1990s. It is signed with its original sticker too. It's a chunky rounded cylinder form, smooth thick glass that looks like green undulating landscapes, with trails and slabs of colour. Mouth blown/hand made and cylinder shaped, different from every angle and unique. Flat polished base and thick rounded rim.
6.1cm wide x 17.5cm tall. Great displayable condition. Any undulations, swirls, spots etc are part of the handmade nature and are deliberate and by the glass artist. Heavy and chunky at 700g.
