A mid century ceramic Scandinavian sugar bowl and milk jug - from the 'Market' design by Turi Gramstad Oliver for Figgjo Flint, Norway. The pattern was created in the 1960s, so of this era.
White glazed ceramic, with a screen-printed design of traditional Norwegian market characters. A fishmonger and a lady selling vegetables feature on the bowl, and a lady selling flowers and apples and a seated gent with shopping are on the jug. The print is all shades of green (olive, khaki and forest green). The stylised design looks hand-drawn/sketched and is typically retro Scandinavian. Stamped to the bases with: "Turi-Design. Market. Made in Norway. FF".
Both in very good condition, with no chips or crazing, very clean with no real signs of age. The bowl is a useful sized 8.5cm wide x 7.5cm tall. Jug is small capacity - for a few cuppas - and is 7.5cm tall. More for display and for a Market collection than for practical use.
Price includes P&P to the UK via Royal Mail.
