A fabulous vintage two-tone orange large art glass vase or pot by Erik Hoglund from the mid to late 1960s. Made by Boda, Sweden (later became Kosta Boda).
The beautiful cylinder vase was mouth blown and then re-fired at the rim to give it the vibrant orange colour to the top. Handmade and mouth blown in Sweden. A decent sized 16cm tall x 11.5cm wide rim. Being mouth blown it has a lovely softened undulating rim with natural ripples and subtle lines to the glass, from the handmade manufacture. The orange glass is opaque with a lighter orange rim area and a deeper duskier orange lower part. It has a nicely finished pontil and is unsigned to the base.
Very good vintage condition for the era with a few small marks from age. No chips, cracks, nibbles etc.
