An iconic West German 1980s vacuum flask. Made by Emsa design, West Germany, it's the 'BRASIL' design - design no 0673 10.
The plastic/melamine hot water/tea/coffee storing and serving jug is lined with glass, just like an insulated Thermos flask, and will keep your drink piping hot for ages (tested for 2 hours and it was still very hot). The conical screw top lid forms a seal, and just needs loosening or removing to pour. A rich green with a hint of blue (like jade green), with red and black plastic trim.
A beautiful rounded cone shape, 26cm high x 15cm widest. It's around 1 litre capacity, so about 1.75 pints... enough for 4 to 5 mugs of coffee. Stamped to base with "Emsa Brasil. Made in W. Germany. Art-Nr. 0673 10. Glas-Nr. 9673 10."
Good condition for age and era. Some small surface marks and scuffs. There are some small nibbles off the end of the rim. The glass internally is good and clean, fully functional.
Pure pop/retro design... Perfect for display and for a collection, or for serving coffee in a your retro man-cave or out in the Campervan!
