This iconic Décembre hand mirror from Finland was designed by Hilkka Rahikainen and produced by Karhumuovi Oy in Pori, Finland, between 1968 and 1969. The mirror features a distinctive bright-toned ABS plastic frame and round mirror glass. Decembre was part of a brand founded by Armi Ratia.
Circa late 1960s or early 1970s vintage. Simple round shape upper with rectangular handle, all straight-sided and minimal. Vivid pure yellow plastic - all typically space-age in shape/styling.
It's a mid sized hand-held size. Mirror area is 13.3cm diameter, 14.5cm wide with plastic frame. 28.5cm long x 2cm deep. Stamped to the back with 'décembre, made in finland, by karhumuovi'. 
Good vintage condition with some signs of its age and use. The mirror glass is slightly fogged, showing signs of its true vintage. Being plastic it is scratched/marked from where it has been laid down and handled for the last 50+ years and there is a glue mark to the back. Colour is great with no fading, no chips or cracks to the plastic. (Not photographed straight on due to reflections!).
Displays well and great for a Decembre collection or a yellow retro room (there are a series of colours to collect).
