A Dartington Glass plain carafe/decanter designed by Frank Thrower in 1975, so from the Seventies era. Model no FT196, most have the sandblasted 'VIN ' wording on them. It was also known as 'The Wine Carafe' and was originally designed with a different capacity in 1968. Heavy thick clear bright glass with 24% lead crystal content. It has its original cork.
Very good condition, see pics. One 1cm scratch near the bottom and few other tiny signs of age but no chips or staining. 20.5cm (with cork in, 19cm without) x 13cm. Heavy - 960g. It holds around 1 litre. 
Fab minimalist, smart, retro, chunky 1970s shape; a high quality item. Perfect for red wine or as a bar prop!
