A tiny vintage candle holder, designed by Frank Thrower and hand made for Dartington, Devon, England. The design originated in 1969 and is FT92. It's part of the series of 'X-Certificate' Nipple vases, and is the smallest with a single row of patterns.

It's hexagonal with a wide round rim, and designed to hold a tealight candle. It can also be used as a small vase. Relatively hard to find item. Each side of the low wide hexagon shape has a panel with a 'nipple' shape in the middle - a central dome with dots around. This contrasts with the smooth cylindrical narrow neck then wide round rim. Bright clear crystal content glass. Flat polished rim. Being mouth blown and handmade it's slightly wonky on the rim.

It's in excellent condition.

6.2cm tall x 6.3cm widest. The inner rim is just under 4.2cm wide (so the inner shoulders will support a standard tealight). If used as a vase it would only hold a few smaller stems.
