A Dansk Designs Ltd vintage candle holder spike, designed by Jens Quistgaard, Denmark... Dusky bottle green moulded glass with an original label that has come off. Designed to hold a pillar or church candle as a spike. These were mass-produced Scandinavian pressed glass candle holders from the late 1960s or 1970s. Probably not a practical candle holder, more an art glass curiosity that could double up as a ring/bangle holder.
In very good displayable and usable condition. Being pressed glass they all have moulding lines and small ripples from time of manufacture. No chips. Sticker reads 'Dansk Designs Ltd, made in Sweden, JHQ' for Jens Quistgaard.
Square base 8.8cm x 8.8cm, extends to 10cm tall, spike is 14mm wide at the top.
