A striking little stylised reindeer figurine for Dansk Designs (Denmark) in the 1970s. It was designed by Swedish silversmith Gunnar Cyren and made in Japan for Dansk. I believe it's silver plated over zinc metal (EPZ). Late mid century 1970s/1980s vintage.
This little deer comes from a series of simplified animal paperweights which were made in Japan around this time - there's lots to collect. It is a Modernist simplified form. Reflective polished silver finish (sorry about my reflections!); it is a shiny silver colour with good shine. It has a black velvet base with the logo. Stamped on the base with 'Dansk Designs Japan' and 'S'. 
It is small at 7.5cm tall x 5cm wide x 2.5cm wide. In very good vintage condition, good for the age with a few small signs of age, see pics.
