A vintage modernist Caithness bowl... A beautifully simple piece of art glass, by Caithness Glass, Scotland. This is a 4" 4025 bowl - part of the simple Stroma series. Designed by Domhnall OBroin in the early 1960s, this is late 1960s to early 1970s vintage. 
Handmade mouth blown art glass. Lovely thick glass, grass/olive (Moss) inside, cased in clear glass. Shallow dish with straight sides and a flat polished rim. The design is inspired by a mid century Scandinavian piece; simple, stylish, quality, and beautifully finished. The green is a typically 1970s retro dusky green.
Lovely condition with no marks inside and good rim, displays really well. Two teeny fleabites which are too small to show in a photograph. 4" wide x 3.7cm tall. Typical Caithness base - smooth and slightly indented.
