A lovely and elegant smokey brown Caithness Glass decanter with four matching whisky glasses... The decanter was designed by Domhnall OBroin in 1964 for Caithness, Scotland. Design is 'Morven', as per page 38 of Mark Hill's Caithness Glass book. Distinctive angular shoulders and straight lines - fabulous classy Scandinavian-inspired design. This design of stopper also doubles up as a shot glass. The four smokey brown glass flared tumblers were designed in the late 1960s for Caithness, Scotland. They are from the same range, model number 4025. They're a larger size - capacity is 220ml to the brim. Perfect for a couple of larger spirits with ice. Distinctive simple straight flaring lines - a classy, understated and stable (weighty and bottom heavy) retro design. The colour is 'Peat' - a typically 1970s smokey warm brown colour, cased in clear glass. All circa late 1960s to mid 1980s. 'Peat' colouring was used to compliment the whisky contents. An original vintage set. Quality items in excellent condition. Some small tooling marks or wobbles to the glass rims and stopper lid - from being handmade mouth blown back in the day. No chips or scratches. Decanter is apx 26.5cm x 11.5cm. Glasses are 8cm tall x 8cm wide at the rim (220ml) - heights, widths and colour casing may vary very slightly. P&P to the UK included (big parcel). Sold as the set.
