A super vintage art glass vase, by Caithness Glass, Scotland, from the 'Cadenza' range designed in 1986. The design was by Colin Terris and it's in a harder to find Emerald Green. 
It had a complex manufacture - being hot-rolled in white, then the green, then overlaid with millefiori and glass chips. Separate dark violet was then dripped on  and pulled into a heart before casing it in clear and moulding it. It was time consuming to produce so was only in production for three years in the 1980s. (Reference Mark Hill's Caithness Glass book, page 74). 
Excellent condition with no chips or nibbles. Flat polished rim. Thick heavy quality glass; weighs 860g. Good useful size, would hold a dozen stems. 15.5cm (6") tall x 10cm wide x 5.5cm outer rim. It maintains its original plastic clear Caithness Glass sticker, saying 'Caithness Scotland'.
