A lovely vintage fish figurine by Broadstairs Pottery, Kent. Circa 1970s or so - the pottery ran from 1968 to 1983. Broadstairs Pottery was David James White and Mary Dening, I believe, with some items by Dianne Sanders. It is stamped to the base with the logo. It's typical of the Broadstairs' stoneware type clay, with pale natural colour tones and imprinted shapes.
A handmade hollow flat pottery fish shaped ornament/sculpture, with unglazed biscuit-coloured central strip with rows of incised shapes. Surrounding areas and edges are lightly glazed in a warm taupe colour - it's all neutral-toned. Small cute eye and mouth. Typical of the 70s Studio Pottery era. See photos.
A small 11.5cm long x 7cm tall x 3.5cm (a flatter shape). Very good condition with no chips.
