A great example of a 1950s Pyrex JAJ Daisy shallow casserole dish, or space saver, with lid, with warming stand (with unused candles) and boxed. Design no 2161, a shallow rectangular Casserole. It's black print on pale Spring yellow, on white/opal Pyrex glass, with clear glass lid. Yellow Daisy was made for a short time from just 1958-59 and was part of the Gaiety range.
Casserole dish is 29cm long x 17cm wide x 4.5cm tall. Stamped underneath a handle with '2161'. It has Pyrex Tableware writing and crown logo on the base (a late 1950s logo). It's the 2.5 pint Shallow Oblong Casserole - a hard to find item. It comes in its original box, with the clear matching original lid. Lid is 29cm long.
Warming stand is gold tone metal with white plastic handles, flip up layer with two candle holders below. It comes with the unused tealight candles. Stand is 33cm long x 17cm wide x 10cm tall.
In excellent unused condition with no chips or signs of use. Dish and lid are great, it has one little scuff to the yellow underneath from being moved. Having been stored for over 60 years the gold tone has some natural patina which I've left as is, it could be polished up. The unused candles have dulled/aged. The box is aged externally with a split to one corner, see pics. It also comes with a tatty original leaflet!
Very collectable and displayable example.
