A super larger-sized Bob Dawe pottery vase, circa 1960s or 1970s vintage, from Red Barn Pottery, Suffolk.

A hand made rolled slab pot/vase (rather than turned on a wheel) - a simple straight cylinder vase made using a flat sheet of clay (it has a lovely exaggerated overlap). The middle section has an indented pattern on it - with a round glossy deep brown glassy spot, some horizontal lines and some raised spots. It has been left mostly rough and matte/natural/unglazed, with a pale beige glazed upper and inner. All neutral earthy tones. Stamped with the Red Barn logo (a little house logo) near the base. Perfect for any Bob Dawe collector, or for a collector of Studio pottery from the era, such as Carn, Tremain, Louis Hudson, Troika, Bernard Rooke etc. Stunning for your mid century sideboard, or in a Modernist or contemporary styled home.

Very good condition with no chips, see photos.

A bigger 20.5cm tall x 7cm wide - suitable for up to a dozen flower stems if used as a vase.
