A beautiful Bitossi pottery vase. Designed by Aldo Londi in the late 1950s, this is the Liberty decor in the Rimini Blu colours and probably dates from the 1960s to 1970s mid century era. A small to medium-sized ceramic vase, made from their typical rough clay/stoneware, with a straight-sided cylindrical design. An impressed paisley-like design infilled with a lime green and darker blue glaze, along with dotted lines and darker blue bands. All typical of this and similar designs by Londi. Shades of blues and turquoise, like Mediterranean seas. Unsigned to the base but it maintains its original sticker saying 'Made in Italy 6/15'. I believe it's model no 6/15 (6" tall / 15cm). Handmade and rustic in feel and nature. Excellent condition - these are very prone to glaze flakes due to the rough clay - but this example has no chips and is great, all as intended. 15.5cm tall x 7.5cm wide. Price includes P&P to the UK.
