A super 1970s lucite op art cat figurine, by Abraham Palatnik, Brazil. The larger sized sculpture/paperweight is a seated cat shape with black solid and dotted lines, sandwiched in the middle of clear 3D perspex. Slimline, minimalist, Modernist, mid-century, tactile - and hard to find.
The contemporary Brazilian artist Abraham Palatnik was a renowned innovator in kinetic, kinechromatic and op art - designing using lucite in the 1970s.
Very good condition with not many signs of age. No chips. Base has the original 'made in Brazil' label. 
Larger sized: 20.5cm tall x 12cm wide x 4cm deep max. A lovely mid century retro collectable figurine, very displayable.
