A Baldelli fun and oversized Cheese shaker from Italy. It's from the 1980s or so and has a retro handwriting font 'Cheese' with the Italian coloured stripes in red and green. It comes from a range of tableware and was probably designed by Massimo Baldelli.
Baldelli are probably more known for their stylised figures from the mid century era - the Italian ceramics company is well established and well regarded.
White glazed ceramic, cylinder shaped with six large holes to the top. Moulded in one tactile shape with hole and plastic stopper to the base for refilling. It's designed for the table for sprinkling cheese or parmesan on your Italian dishes. There's other fun tableware pieces from the range to collect too.
Very good condition for the age with not many signs of its 40+ years. Clean and useable and displayable. It has a rough baseline, probably as manufactured. Please see photos. 15.5cm tallest, rounded top and base is 8cm wide.
