A lovely statement art glass (crystal) animal shaped dish by Art Vannes, France. It's stylised and modernist in the style of folded paper - origami. No markings to be the base, but I'm certain this is by Art Vannes from Vannes le Chatel. Probably 1980s vintage. He's a minimalist origami seal or seated dog? 
Smooth and tactile with soft edges, moulded from clear bright high quality crystal glass. 17cm long x 11cm tall x 12cm wide at the feet. The inner tilted bowl, if used, is suited as a sweetie/snack/trinket bowl (roughly 10 x 4.5 x 4.5cm). 
Excellent condition uppers and on display. He has a slightly rough point where he sits. No maker's marks. 
Catches the light beautifully and is a conversation piece. He's lovely, whatever he is!
