A beautiful vintage jam pot by Arabia, Finland (or honey pot, sugar bowl, condiments/parmesan serving pot... anything you wish!) The decor is Strawberry and the range was called Pomona. This is a lidded taller version of the Strawberry design.
The shape of the pots was designed by Ulla Procopé and from 1965 Arabia started using the Pomona patterns by Raija Uosikkinen. The Pomona line consisted of drawn images of various fruits in a repetitive pattern. In total 10 different patterns were used, inclusive of honey bees. Pomona was in production for nearly a decade from 1965 to about 1973. It has never been re-issued so all Pomona items you find these days are from this period. The decoration was applied through a silkscreen transfer process - so are usually still very bright.
Very good condition - ideal for a collection, for use and for display. The main body is great, no chips, cracks or crazing. Clean internally with good bright external print. Five very slightly discoloured patches to the inner rim out of sight. The pot is stamped to the base with 'Arabia made in Finland 5-69' - which denotes May 1969.
It's the taller version of the design, with lid on it's 9cm tall x 9.8cm wide across the flared flat rim, 9.7cm wide at the base. Simple cylinder shape.
