A gorgeous porcelain bird made by Aluminia (later merged with Royal Copenhagen). It looks to be from the Terena series by Inge-Lise Koefoed. From Denmark and circa 1950s-1960s mid century vintage. The ornamental bird figurine is also a whistle/flute with a dove-like low smooth whistle. Model number 213/2990, it also has part of the old Aluminia logo to the base (three waves and Denmark stamp), along with Inge-Lise Koefoed's monogram and the decorator's symbol. Porcelain, glazed white and beautifully hand painted in navy blue, rich plum purple and a taupe. Apx 9.5 x 5cm x 5cm. Excellent vintage condition with no crazing or chips. Danish/Scandinavian in style, and perfect for a mid century bird, whistle or ceramics collector. Free P&P to the UK.
