A superb Sklo Union deep green glass vase designed for Rosice Glassworks. Known as the Pineapple vase, this is pattern number 1292 and was designed by Jiri Zejmon. Circa 1960s to 1970s vintage, Czech/Bohemian origin.
A heavy and tactile moulded/pressed art glass item. Bold geometric vase with rows of sculptural pyramid shaped spikes, in a lightly tapering out shape. It's a rich vivid dark green (like malachite meets a forest green). Striking colouring - great for a Mid Century mantelpiece/sideboard and for a collector.
20cm or 8" tall x 8.5cm wide rim. 10cm widest with the spikes. Weighs 1kg - a good weighty chunk.
Excellent condition. Best example you will find. Great for display and for a collector. Some moulding lines and tiny bubbles being pressed glass.
