A set of four vintage port glasses in the 'Princess' design by Bent O. Severin, for Holmegaard, Denmark. The design dates from 1957, and they were in production until 1995 (on and off). These are most likely to be 1960s/1970s vintage. They all have the same 'tone' of glass so would be from the same collection. The princess design features a teardrop shaped controlled bubble within the solid glass triangular stem. Crystal content glass.
Many thanks for the information to Hardernet.dk - these appear to be the 10.5cm 'port' versions of the design. They are 5.5cm wide at the soft rim. They're about 50ml, so ideal for a port, aperitif, sherry or other shorter measures. Unsigned. Being handmade they vary slightly, see photos.
Excellent collectable and usable examples with no fleabites or scratches. Perfect to go in your retro home bar.
