A pair of footed art glass dessert bowls, designed by Oiva Toikka for Nuutajarvi/Nuutajärven Lasi (Finland) in 1964, made later for iittala. These are the iittala Finland versions, circa early 2000s, and look to be discontinued now. The Kastehelmi design was: "inspired by morning dewdrops, Kastehelmi’s glass droplet design brings the outdoors in".
Light blue quality moulded pressed glass with a crystal content. Textured underneath and on the outer edges in distinctive concentric circles of bobbles, smooth rounded inner bowls. The blue is a turquoise or sky blue. Suited to ice creams, puddings, desserts...
Excellent unused condition with original labels. 11.5cm wide at the rim x 10cm tall. Being pressed glass they have visible moulding lines, and being hand finished they are slightly different heights and tones of blue.
