A pair of 'smoke' (retro greeny/grey) vintage schnapps/snaps glasses in the 'Canada' design by Per Lutken for Holmegaard, Denmark. The design dates from 1955, and they were in production until 1990. These could date from any time from the 1950s to 1980s, but most likely to be 1960s/1970s vintage. 'Canada' is a Danish Modern classic design, as featured in Vigier and Pina's 'Scandinavian Glass 1930-2000, Smoke and Ice' book. The smoke version of Canada is often referred to as Scanada because the original boxes used S for smoke as a prefix before 'Canada'. They're 4cm wide at the rim. Unsigned. Being handmade they vary slightly, see photos. Very good collectable and usable examples with no fleabites. The smoke colouring is typical of the mid century era - perfect to go with your retro home and barware. Includes P&P to the UK. Price is for the pair, delivered via Royal Mail tracked 24.
