A lovely retro blue art glass genie bottle. Like most of these, it's from around the 1970s and would have been made in the Empoli region of Italy.
It's a larger size (23" tall) with hobnail or raised diamond/square design pressed glass, with a typical pointy stopper. The pattern is geometric horizontal with spiralling lines with of twisting skewed pyramid shapes. The colour is a sky blue, with a deeper vibrant electric blue at the base.
On display this is in very good condition. There's a small chip to the end of the stopper. Stopper has its original plastic seal, but it does not sit tight/secure. Stopper has one dirty inclusion in the glass, like ash/dirt. See photos.
Bottle has no maker's marks. It's pressed glass (shaped by a mould) so has a couple of natural formation lines and bubbles. Internally it has something stuck at the base inside, like a leaf. See photos.
40cm tall bottle, with stopper it's 58cm tall. Stopper is 19cm tall.
A taller Empoli bottle. A retro statement for a windowsill, or perfect on a mid-century modern teak sideboard, or as part of a genie collection.
Includes P&P to the UK via courier.
