A pair of lovely vintage Finnish art glass candle holders by Iittala. Designed by Timo Sarpaneva in the 1970s and circa 1970s-1980s. Both are hand signed 'TS' to the base.
Quality handmade moulded/pressed icy textured crystal-content glass with polished smooth upper surface rims. Being handmade these are all different with differing icy textures, knops, heights, weights etc. Perfect for a collector, and suitable for both mid-century mantelpiece or contemporary home.
Great condition. Visible deliberate irregular seams and knobbles and textures and bubbles from the time of manufacture, see photos. One has a natural bump to the polished rim. One is knobblier than the other.
Two ringed/hooped version of the design: 12.5cm tall x 7.5cm wide at the bases. The holes are 2.3cm wide, so will fit a standard tapered dinner candle. 1.1kg combined - clear bright chunky crystal.
Free P&P to the UK. Price is for the pair, delivered via Royal Mail.
