A beautiful Isle of Wight Glass 'Victorian' design footed cylinder vase. Designed and made by Jonathan Harris in 1989 only, with Timothy Harris devising the production process. It is from the Victorian Silver and Gold Collection series of glass sculptures and collectables. Green is a rarer colour and the vases only sold in low quantities, making this a very hard to find vase.
Jonathan Harris is son of Michael Harris (Mdina and Isle of Wight Studio Glass) and brother to Timothy Harris (Isle of Wight Studio Glass). It's clear to see the family connection and influences.
The cylinder is clear with green and blue alternating twisted stripes, the gold leaf flakes have stuck to the blue stripes. The green is a vibrant peacock sort of green. It has a little rounded clear foot. It's shape no 2, the 14cm vase - the cylinder is about 3.7cm wide and the gently flared rim is 4.2cm. It maintains its original sticker to the base. 
Excellent condition. It's a beautiful piece!
