A vintage Modernist/Brutalist 1979 fully hallmarked Sterling Silver and garnet ring... A simple and stylish vintage ring, mounted with a garnet. The upper is set with a faceted garnet (very deep red), held with a simple eight prong claw, fully exposed to the sides. The linear bark textured shoulders and upper sides are the same width as the stone and are all typically 1970s with Brutalist style textures. There's a Modernist simple flat band to the back. It's fully hallmarked 'LDP' (the maker) then the anchor (illegible) and lion stamps for Sterling Silver Birmingham, and the italic date letter 'E' for 1979. The silver is British 925 grade. It's a UK size N, please check that it should fit you (not adjustable). It weighs 3 grams. The flat band is slimline and elegant (it tapers from 5mm widest to 3mm wide at its narrowest). The round stone is about 5mm wide. The stone sits 6mm up from the hand. Lovely condition. Looks beautiful on - the photos don't do it justice. Very presentable, funky and retro, and a perfect gift idea... Perfect for a 46th birthday or for a 2nd wedding anniversary. Includes P&P to the UK. Comes in a presentation box.
