A lovely 1976 Sterling silver 925 pendant made in London, England. It's typically simple modernist and very much of its retro 1970s era. Perfect for a 50th birthday gift!
A unique and handmade silver open oval pendant with a large oval polished amethyst suspended to the centre, cabochon set. It's stamped on the back with the maker's mark 'BAC', with the lion assay marks for London sterling 925 silver, and 'B' for 1976. It's smooth flat silver and on a replacement 20" chunky curb chain with a snap ring fastening (I don't think it's silver but looks it).
Looks stunning on, just the right size to be a 1970s statement. A good sized 55 x 45mm oval shape. The amethyst is roughly 30mm x 20mm, rounded the front with a flat unpolished back. Pendant weighs 16 grams. Very good. The amethyst has a slight wobble within its setting.
It's a fab piece of mid century British silver.
