An unusual Modernist/brutalist choker necklace, dating from 1975, so perfect for someone turning 50-years old... There's a series of 15 silver scoop shapes, each panel with a subtle brutalist line textures and seven round holes. There's a chunky spring ring clasp and ball drop to the back. One link is marked with '925 A*D' - A*D is Andreas Daub from Germany. This is German origin and made from 925 sterling grade silver. Another series of hallmarks has a '925', an import mark for London and a date latter 'A' for 1975. The import seller's/maker's hallmark is indecipherable. It's modernist, retro and Brutalist with a bit of Art Deco in style - simple and slimline, with a funky closeup detail. It's a shorter necklace, varying in length between 15" and 16.5" long max (please check this fits you). Each linked panel is around 2.3 x 0.8cm, small and delicate. It is articulated so each shape moves independently. Weighs 10 grams. Very good condition, spring ring closure works well. A delicate, slim yet statement piece - perfect gift idea for her on her 50th! Price includes P&P to the UK. Basic presentation box included.
