A stylish bark-textured and machine engineered 1972 hallmarked Sterling Silver bracelet...
The solid silver hinged bracelet is typically early 1970s - with a Modernist simple shape and Brutalist inspired central bark textures and outer machine cut pattern. It's fully hallmarked 'Pat No 1167637, B Ltd.' then the anchor and lion stamps for Birmingham, and the date letter 'X' for 1972. The opposite half also has the X date stamp. Made by Bracelon Ltd, the silver is Sterling 925 grade. It has random scratched vertical lines which catch the light and dark. It's hinged in two halves and opens out fully - a simple design that locks together beautifully.
It's around 18cm internal circumference when fastened. The internal oval from above is 5.8 by 5.4cm wide. The silver is solid (not hollow), is straight sided and 10mm wide. Please check that it should fit you (not adjustable). It weighs 21.4 grams. Slimline, flat and elegant, this would suit a more petite wrist.
Good vintage condition with some small signs of age. The inner hallmarks have worn down and there's a few small marks that show on the macro photos. Looks nice on - I'd give it a 8/10. Presentable, simple, classy, retro, and a perfect gift idea.
Includes P&P to the UK. Comes in a presentation box.
