I believe this is a Whitefriars 'Snowflake' textured jug, model no M171 - from the 1978 and 1980 catalogues. It's very similar to the Glacier design M33, but the texture is finer and icier and it tapers in slightly.
A large 2-pint full lead crystal (FLC) textured jug. Would have been intended for use with matching water glasses and decanter as part of a bar/juice set. It has slightly tapering in sides and the typical Whitefriars pontil to the base.
17cm tall x 11.5cm wide base. Being lead crystal it's heavy at 1.2kg. Clear and quality moulded glass, textured with a ice-like patterns on the outsides. Probably designed by Geoffrey Baxter.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. A couple of manufacturing lines to the base. A hard to find item.
P&P included to the UK.
1970s Whitefriars Snowflake M171 2-pint glass jug. Ice/bark textured pitcher.
