A stunning and original Pyrex JAJ (James A Jobling, England) bright yellow 'Rainbows' round mixing bowl. The design dates design from 1972 and was made for just a few years. This is shape number 702 - would have been part of a three piece set collectively known as no 720 or 721 'Rainbows Medium Bowl Set' or 'Rainbows Large Bowl Set', along with teal, orange and red. They would have come with plastic snap-fit lids originally. This is the second smallest from the set, the 16.5cm diameter or 6.5" bright yellow bowl. It has a distinctive sunny bright colour with white 1cm outer rim.
It's 1.5 pints, 16.5cm wide x 8.5cm tall. Stamped to the base with the crown logo and "JAJ. Made in England. 702".
This is in good bright condition, with a few small signs of use or wear. Please study photos as examples of condition. There's no chips. It's a nice example and great for a collector as part of the set. The full set of four is very hard to find.
The last photo is taken courtesy of Stan Savellis' highly recommended Dots and Diamonds book. (Thanks for the information Stan).
Includes P&P to the UK.
