A stylish Brutalist/Modernist hallmarked Sterling Silver bangle dating from 1970... The hinged bracelet is typically late 1960s / early 1970s - with a Modernist simple shape and Brutalist inspired texture. It's fully hallmarked 'CPS' (the maker) then the anchor and lion stamps for Birmingham and sterling silver, and the date letter 'V', along with 'Sterling'. The opposite half also has the lion and the 'V' date stamp. Made by CPS Jewellery Co Ltd, the English sterling silver is 925 grade. Look at the gorgeous linear pattern - it has random vertical bark or scratch-like engraved marks which catch the light. Externally, it's around 6.3 x 5.8cm (Slightly oval). Internally the closed oval measures about 5.7 x 5.3cm and is about 17.5cm long - a standard fit. It's 19mm high x 2.5mm deep. Please check that it should fit you (not adjustable). It weighs 30 grams and the silver is hollow. Slimline, slightly curved and elegant, this would suit a slim to average female wrist. It's hinged in to two halves with a simple design that opens and closes easily. The original silver safety chain remains. Very good vintage condition, looks beautiful on. A few tiny signs of age. Nicely presentable, simple, classy, retro, and a perfect gift idea... an awesome birthday present for someone born in 1970. Includes P&P to the UK. Comes in a simple presentation box. Will polish it up again before posting.
