A super pair of mid century cufflinks by 'H.G&S' (Henry Griffiths and Sons), Birmingham. Fully hallmarked to the backs with the maker's details, plus the anchor and lion stamps for Birmingham Sterling silver 925, and 'R' for 1966. They're also marked '925' to the posts. The rectangular fronts features a sunburst/starburst geometric machine-cut pattern - reflecting the light beautifully. They have a toggle or bullet back fastening, see pics.
Mid century era and very much in a Modernist and retro and op-art style. 
Each is 1.6cm x 1.1cm to the front, and quite flat and slim and shiny. Great for age, they have an angled straight stem/post and a back toggle; both toggles work well. Perfect for a 1960s Mad Men and MCM fan and for someone born in 1966. They weigh 9g together.
