Zenit cup and saucer by Upsala Ekeby Gefle, Sweden. Vintage 1950s/1960s deep yellow & white stripe, tea/coffee. Helmer Ringström mid century

A beautiful cup and saucer by Upsala Ekeby Gefle, Sweden. Zenit design - white porcelain or fine china base with white freehand stripes on an egg yolk or dark yellow print. I'm led to believe the design is by Helmer Ringström on a shape designed by Arthur Percy. Circa 1960s vintage, though may be older... a hard to find item in a striking summery colour.

The saucer is stamped with a silver hallmark on the base, see photos. The saucer is excellent. Cup is in average condition for age and era. No crazing or chips. However there are some imperfections on the glaze/design/print - a patch of yellow missing under the handle, three tiny dark dots on the rim, and a hairline crack internally. For this reason it's priced low and I wouldn't use it - it's more for display on a dresser or on a yellow shelf display. Overall, good displayable and collectable condition (untested for use). Please study all photos. I wouldn't normally sell something with imperfections, but being rare it had to be on Coco Collectables.

Cup is 6.5cm tall x 7.5cm wide diameter at rim - petite and breakfast coffee sized. Saucer is 13.5cm wide.
