XL Borske Sklo large olives, smoky brown glass ball vase/bowl. 1960s Bohemian/Czech. Vintage orb/optical round circular pot. Mid century

A huge vintage 'large olives' round vase/bowl. It's Czech/Bohemian and made by Borske Sklo in the 1950s or early 1960s. It's a smokey brown colour, with a round evenly-spaced optical geometric pattern. A lot of these vases are the smaller sized versions.

This is an unusually big example - about 9.5" tall x 9.5" wide max and a chunky 1.66kg. It's mould blown with a spotted 'olives' design. An impressive art glass statement, a great centre piece or talking point. Mid-century Modernist and retro in style and era.

As with many of these, the top inside rim is very fragile and susceptible. This example is excellent with no imperfections or chips. Really nice collectable and huge example with hardly any signs of age.
