WMF Ikora Germany Brutalist candle stick. Perspex & silver plated candle holder. 1970s three/tri candlestick. Mid-century Modernist lucite

A striking Brutalist silver-plated and clear perspex candle stick. Made by WMF Ikora, Germany, it has the maker's mark inside the base. The candle holder holds three narrower tapered dinner candles. Mid-century and funky retro (slightly kitsch) design, probably from the late 1960s or 1970s.

Very good vintage condition, please see photos. The base is round, slimline and shaped metal with three feet. The silver plating (over brass) has a good coating of silver colour, it looks different in different lights and is striking. This lower part has a mass of linear geometric dots and dashes patterns in and out - see photos. The clear perspex holders/sconces are zig-zag ribbed - reflecting the light and contrasting to the silver coloured shaped lower stand. It holds three slimmer (apx 18-20mm wide) dinner candles, if used.

8" x 5.5" x 5.5". Very good vintage condition. A hard to find item. I'll polish up the silver plating a bit more before posting.
