WMF Germany S-Collection box. Sigrid Kupetz perspex & silver plate napkin/cigarette/jewellery. 1970s Mid-century Modernist lucite/steel
A stunning Modernist silver plated steel and perspex lidded box, perfect for jewellery or trinkets or money or pens etc. It was designed by Sigrid Kupetz and was intended as a 'serviette or napkin box' and this particular box comes with eight original red paper napkins with the same stunning geometric design on. Made by WMF Cromargan Germany and from the 's-collection', it has the maker's mark inside the base of the perspex box, and the original sticker underneath. The folded steel lid has been silver plated and has a mass of small round geometric circular patterns over - see photos, it's stunning!
Modernist, mid-century slick design, probably from the late 1960s or 1970s. Full length hinge - works well and holds it open.
A lovely quality item. Really good condition thick clear perspex, lid is shiny and reflective. The silver coated steel has light oxidation from age in a few places, and a couple of small scratches. Photos don't do it justice!
18.5 x 10.5 wide (including steel lid overlay) x 6.5cm tall.
Includes P&P to the UK.
