Whitefriars Glass tangerine 9729. Geoffrey Baxter finger stem vase. 6" bark textured vase. Vintage/retro mid century cased British art glass

A lovely vintage vivid Tangerine orange slim bark textured vase by Geoffrey Baxter, circa late 1960s or early 1970s. Whitefriars Glass, England, model no 9729.

The Tangerine colour was produced at Whitefriars from 1968 to 1974, and the shape, size and colour of this vase was produced from about 1969 to 1973, I believe. So from around the early 1970s vintage. The shape of the 9729 changed in the mid 1970s to a taller and more flared vase.

It's petite at just shy of 6" (14.5cm) and 4.3cm diameter at base and 3.5cm at rim - so very slightly flared. The bright zingy orange is cased in clear glass at the base and around the outer edges. Flat polished rim.

Excellent condition for age and era, please see photos. Very good rim. No chips or scratches that I can see or feel. Would hold a half dozen slimmer stems if used. Lovely collectable condition - great gift idea.
