Whitefriars Glass 9308 art glass controlled bubble paperweight. Gold Full lead crystal & bubbles. Vintage 1970s retro 3" Golden amber orange

A super art glass paperweight by Whitefriars Glass, England...

Design no 9308, which dated from the 1950s and was made all the way through to the late 1970s. I believe this is the full lead crystal (FLC) Gold from the late 1970s, as it has a really vivid deep colour and is very heavy. The gold is so golden it's almost orange. It is the 3" version. It features a series of carefully controlled internal bubbles (smaller near the top, getting bigger towards the base), and one larger middle internal bubble. It's very hard to show in photos, but this is a very nicely made example with evenly spaced bubbles and no conjoined ones. The main big bubble is slightly off-centre.

Typical Whitefriars base with polished inner pontil and flat surrounding area. About 7.5cm wide x 6.5cm tall. Weighs 650g.

Excellent example - I can only find 3 tiny surface marks/dots on very close inspection. I'd give it a 9/10 - fab collectable condition.
