A mid 1960s modernist Whitefriars Glass art glass vase, #9572. Slightly slimmer than the Hambone vase no 9656. This design in this colour dates from the mid 1960s (1966-1967). It has distinctive wide solid bottom, oval rim and flatter sides. Cased blue - a royal rich blue with clear glass.

The vase weighs 520g. Flat polished rim and base, with flared wide bottom, narrower sideways on. 5.5" tall, 14cm tall x 8.5cm wide x 4cm deep - the hambones are about 11cm wide.

Excellent collector's condition with great rim and base - a great displayable example. It doesn't look to have been used or moved around. Nicely made with some tiny natural internal bubbles as you'd expect for handmade mouth blown glass (one shown).
