Whitefriars 9725 Glacier glass decanter. Square bark textured wine/spirits lidded bottle. Geoffrey Baxter 60s/70s. Mid century retro crystal

A super Whitefriars glass decanter, designed by Geoffrey Baxter and typical of his textured glass designs.
Circa late 1960s or early 1970s, I know this appeared in the catalogues in 1971 and 1972.
Square/rectangular in shape with heavily bark textured sides and distinctive original round stopper.

It's a heavy quality piece, undoubtedly with a good crystal content.
It gleams in the sunlight and is very clean and pretty much unused and as new.

Excellent condition.
One natural bubble in the bottle's rim, and a couple of tiny scratches on the rim.
The rim of the decanter and base of the stopper are both hand marked with the number "24".
Stopper forms a good seal and unusually does not have any chips or nibbles.
As good as you will find for the age/era.

27.5cm tall with stopper in x 10 x 10cm.
Just over 1.7kg.
