Walther Glas glass bud vase/solifleur, vintage 1970s. Retro Op Art, Mid Century clear round single stem vase. German, bullseye target red

A striking round bud vase or solifleur by Walther Glas, West Germany. Designed by Heiner Düsterhaus. Circa 1970s vintage.

Circular slice or disc shaped, with a narrow hole at the top for a single stemmed statement flower (or a pen). Could also be used as a candle holder for a narrow tapered candle (hole is 1.4cm wide and apx 6.5cm long), or just a paperweight.

Circular raised Op Art 3D relief pattern to the reverse, with red and dark green round colour infills, smooth front, base and sides. Clear and thick pressed/moulded glass.

About 11cm tall x 12cm wide x 4cm deep. Very good condition with just a couple of tiny scratches to the front. A great collectable usable example!
