Vintage wooden jewellery box. 1950s/1960s simple mid-century. Cigar cigarette cigarillo humidor. Teak wood trinket box, minimalist storage

A simple vintage wooden lidded box - perfect for jewellery or trinkets or money etc. Circa 1950s/1960s vintage. It would have originally been a cigar, cigarello or cigarette box (humidor), but now more suited as a small storage box.

I'm unsure of the wood type, it looks teak-like (reddy hardwood). It's rectangular, neat and simplified with straight edges, slim hinges, hidden flush opening and slightly rounded edges. No frills and not too fancy - great for a mid century sideboard.

Good condition, a nice item. A few small marks and signs of age - it would look even better after a re-oil or re-finish, please see photos. 18.5cm x 9cm deep x 8.8cm high. There's two lined sections internally (apx 8.5 x 7 x 4.5cm), they're lined with a lighter balsa wood (or similar) - typical of the time.
