Vintage Spring Culinox copper fondue set. Modernist Swiss pan, stand, burner & plate. Retro 1970s, made in Switzerland. Mid century design

A vintage 1970s fondue set, by Spring Culinox, Switzerland...

The 7-piece set consists of copper coated pan with aluminium inner and MCM style black faux wood handle (feels like bakelite). Inner aluminium fondue fork holder and splatter control (supports 8 forks), and copper lid with the same aluminium inner and black lid handle. Black coated cast steel tripod stand to support the burner. Burner with rotating air control holes and inner 'fabric and mesh' for lighting, separate copper lid. Copper under plate to protect your work surface and support the set.

It's in very good condition and the pan shows little signs of use internally. I've polished up the copper but will leave it to naturally patina. See photos for condition of the copper. The burner only sits neatly on the stand in one direction.

Plate is 21cm wide and shows the most signs of age. Stand is 15.5 x 10cm. Pan body is 15 x 9cm, with handle it's 17.5cm long. The whole contraption sits 22cm tall.

Lovely quality Swiss design. Perfect for a retro cheese fondue!
